Lorey Harfield is one of the Middle East’s most experienced marketing professionals. During her two decades in the region she has represented brands both large and small to help them gain the exposure they need, winning multiple awards in the process.

She moved to the UAE in 1998 to help launch luxury hotel Al Maha, before moving to Le Meridien Mina Seyahi in 2000 as Public Relations Manager.

Her hospitality career continued to grow when in 2002 she joined The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai as Director of Public Relations.

In 2004 she left the hotel industry to join agency Sareem International Consultancy as PR Director, where she managed marketing and communications for a diverse range of clients from property and insurance to energy and aviation.

Today she specialises in bespoke communications for small and medium sized clients across the UAE who may not have the budget – or the need – to employ a large agency on an equally large retainer. She combines expert knowledge of the UAE’s media industry with experience of working with businesses and organisations of all sizes to ensure they remain at the front of their audiences’ minds.

Areas of expertise include strategic public relations and marketing communications, media relations, brand management, sponsorship and events, and corporate social responsibility programmes.

Lorey holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Hotel and Tourism Management from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and an MBA from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. She was voted Marketing/PR Manager of the Year at the Hotelier Middle East Awards and Best PR Director in the Middle East by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2005.
