Baby Bazaar returns to Abu Dhabi
Dubai’s much-loved Baby Bazaar – a monthly flea market for mums to sell their quality, pre-loved baby, toddler and maternity items – will be back again in the capital city on Saturday, 18th January 2014.
Baby Bazaar, held on the third Saturday of the month, will be holding its third monthly event in Abu Dhabi at Foutouh Al Khair Mall (Marks & Spencer’s Mall) from 9am-2pm, with a host of baby and toddler items for sale as well as activities for children.
“Having lived in Dubai for eight years now and running my own moving company, Easytruck, you start to realise how much ‘stuff’ gets wasted in this town,” explains Natalie Humphrey, who founded Baby Bazaar in 2012.
“I have watched my baby boy grow out of his clothes and ‘baby’ toys on a daily basis. So in an effort to reduce wasting any of these barely used items I started offering them to my friends but found that some of them had the same problem – too many toys and clothes their baby didn’t even wear or use!”
“Baby Bazaar is my effort to give those mums the chance to ‘do their bit’ (whilst earning some extra cash) and sell these clothes, toys or any baby accessories to mums who are expecting, or have babies who need new clothes, toys or books that are still in good condition. Second-hand doesn’t always mean second best,” added Humphrey.
The market will also host ‘mumpreneurs’ who will be showcasing new and upcoming mummy, baby and toddler related products and clothes. There will also be a raffle draw for expecting mums to win monthly raffle draws with prizes worth up to Dhs 5,000.
